Girls on the Run GTA

A life-changing program for young girls across the Greater Toronto Area
Girls on the Run GTA is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International which has a network of over 160 locations across the United States and Canada.

Girls on the Run GTA is a non-profit program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Our mission is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.

Girls on the Run combines training for a non-comptetive 5K event with healthy living education.

Our programs instil self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training – all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.

75 Schools for Spring 2012!

Girls on the Run is excited to have 75 schools registered to deliver our after-school program for Spring 2012! - see Locations. Welcome all. We are now in the process of registering girls at each of these locations. To register a girl at a participating location, please contact your school office. Holiday Donor Campaign

Strength, self-esteem, courage, perseverance, empowerment…this is our hope for every girl that goes through our life changing program…. Jessica, one of our recent Girls on the Run participants started as a shy, reserved 10 year old, new to the country and without many friends. When she crossed the finish line in June she had become confident, strong and happy with many friends and teammates at her school.
